Erlenberg has the atmosphere of a small village in winter, with several bridges, hills and a castle. It also has several areas to hide at, meaning that there is a lot of strategy involved here.
Main Line:
Pink Line-this is a main line for both attacking and defending, leading to several favorable defensive and offensive positions. I've noticed most of the heavier tanks that do not wish to defend the base go this way, along with an assortment of snipers, TDs and scouts.
Brown Line-this line is another main attack line, usually taken if spawning in the north. Like the pink line, it offers great defensive positions along the route. Usually, most tanks who want to defend the eastern base will take this route at first, and then break off into the yellow circles (see below for explanation).
Sub Lines:
Light Blue Line-this line is usually taken once the southern team has secured the pink line. It offers a straight path to the enemy base, with protection on both flanks. When going this route, you can also avoid the middle bridge, which usually has several guns pointed at it, meaning you have a higher chance to survive, that is until you get to the enemy base.
Dark Green Line-this line is somewhat like the light blue line, but it is on the other side and it doesn't have the same protection as the other one. It basically goes right over a large plain, meaning that you can go very fast without having to maneuver much. However, if you attempt to go this way, expect to have several enemy guns firing at you. The most important thing is to not get tracked if going this way.
Light Orange Line-this line stays with the pink line for a while if coming from the north. It will take longer to go this way because usually there will be tanks on the north hill that will attempt to hinder you, but both your flanks will be protected once you have dealt with the enemy opposition, meaning your trip to the base will be less perilous. If defending this position, remember to use the camoflauge all around the area, and also to use the castle in the south as cover. You can shoot without being seen here, but be advised that once you've been spotted, you'll have most of their guns pointed at you.
Dark Orange and Purplish Lines-these lines are essentially the same, other than that they are on different sides of the river. Each one has scant protection from fire, so it's best to drive very fast across here. If you are in a slower tank, attempt to maneuver so that the enemy doesn't know where you will be going.
HOT TIP: the black circles are where each team spawns. The main lines go from each spawn to the other, while secondary lines go to each base.
HOT TIP: the darker grey circle is where artillery will usually house if spawning from the south.
HOT TIP: the yellow circles are favorites of snipers and TDs. They offer good camouflage and good protection. Most guns will be pointed towards their own base, but some may be pointed elsewhere.
HOT TIP: the light grey circles are chokepoints, as they are funneled into a small area with no cover. This means that the whole of the defensive forces will probably be firing at you, which also means that you must get off the bridge right away.
